At 16 years old, I arrived in New York City alone with a dream, determination, and the hope of building a better future. Like many immigrants, I faced challenges that were often invisible to the world. I worked long hours, balanced school and responsibilities, carried the weight of supporting loved ones back home, and navigated the uncertainty of building a life from nothing. For years, I believed strength meant pushing through every obstacle without slowing down. But eventually, I learned that true strength is not found in silence. It is found in caring for yourself, asking for support when needed, and prioritizing your mental well-being as much as your physical health. My own experience with anxiety, depression, and burnout transformed the way I viewed wellness. I discovered that movement, fitness, and self-care were not just about appearance. They became tools for healing, confidence, discipline, and hope. ASSI COLLECTION was created to share that message with women everywhere. We design products that inspire confidence, encourage movement, and support a lifestyle centered around wellness of the body, mind, and spirit. But our mission extends beyond the products we create. Growing up in West Africa, I witnessed firsthand how mental health is often misunderstood or left unspoken. Many young people struggle in silence because they lack access to education, resources, and support. That is why 5% of every purchase helps fund mental health education initiatives in underserved communities across West Africa. Every collection represents something bigger than fashion or fitness.
